The canopy bed is beautiful and was easy to assemble. The instructions included are accurate and easy to follow. I only knocked a star off because the top and bottom "F" pieces did not screw in on the left side of the bed because the screw holes didn't align properly. I even tried turning them around, flipping them upside down and swapping the places of the 2 bars, to no avail. But I just left the bars slotted into the brackets and I think it will be ok..they are just not secured with screws on that side of the bed. I absolutely LOVE my bed! Although, my husband had a difficult time putting it together! Because the instructions mislabeled parts which did not match the instructions accurately. For example, on the instructions it was written with parts labeled in alphabetical order, yet the actual parts were labeled in numerical order which was confusing. It took him an about an hour or so with some frustration and cursing involved, but I am happy. The bed is stable and it was light enough to move in the perfect spot. This is a beautiful canopy bed! The color of the wood (all solid) and construction is exactly what I hoped for based on the listing. There are no exposed screws/hardware (which is hard to come by in canopy beds) and the joints in the top are beautifully executed. Do yourself a favor: make sure you have 2 people for assembly. It will take some time and work but it isn't super challenging. The allen wrench (provided) has an end that will make the hard-to-reach spaces easier, but make sure you have a second one to make the process go by faster. All right so to start off, the bedframe is really big so if you get the kids size, you should probably think about getting the mattress first just because it might seem really big on the kids size. Now if you get the adult size that’s fine. Everyone can get whatever size they want but the adult size frame is gonna be probably pretty big. If I would think of it now the kids size is pretty big and my mattress does leave a little bit of space as you can see in the photos, but if you do get the adult size that is totally fine. Just thinking about getting the mattress first is a great opportunity. All right, so let’s move onto the drawers in the front if you have like all the cabinets and the drawers and whatever you put your stuff in take it up, then I think that this little space in the front right here is the best place to put it, and if you don’t put anything in there that’s fine, but you can if you want, if there is no space in your cabinet drawers. All right, so let’s move onto the final thing if you do want curtains, just be warned that they might not come with those if you want bows then make sure that you get them. Now, that is not a pretty big warning, but some people take it pretty seriously just because they don’t want anything getting in the way of their face so they’re they block out the curtains to look. I say it would look pretty nice, like I would think it looks pretty nice without the bows. It’s pretty cute too, just when you go inside it’s not that cute but when you lay down inside and your warm breath fills it up like if you don’t have the bows, it fills it up and then you get a really warm feeling inside the curtains so yeah I think that is my favorite reason why I got this bed. Took 4 hours to put the bed together by myself (27 year old woman). The instructions were pretty straightforward and everything was clearly labeled. It is very sturdy and high quality, no squeaking or wobbling. There was only one problem at the very last step. One of the balls wouldn’t screw in no matter what I tried but I was able to find a way around it. Overall, I highly recommend this bed, especially for the price.
