This sliding shower door is first-rate! It is every bit as described. I cannot wait until we can have it installed! We have been renovating our 1970’s ranch home for several years. My husband works at least 55 to 60 hours a week and has done all of the drywall, flooring, plumbing, and electrical updates, albeit slowly, in his very limited spare time. The master bathroom is next on the list. We are planning to remove the current tiny fiberglass corner shower unit (34’ deep x 34” wide x 80” high) and in place, have a 34” deep x 60” wide x 76” high tiled shower and I selected the Borealis Frameless Rectangle Sliding Enclosure to create an updated look. The hardware is a matte black which will coordinate with the other hardware (Rain shower head, sink faucet, toilet paper holder, and towel bar. The weight of the door is impressive. It is nearly 270 pounds of thick glass. It was delivered in two large flat boxes supported by and strapped to a wooden pallet. Make sure you have some muscle around because the delivery folks are not permitted to place inside your home. They only go as far as the front door. I managed to get the smaller box inside but the larger box proved too heavy. And, of course, it is almost all GLASS so I was very careful! Thankfully, my husband managed to get the larger box inside. We opened the boxes to check for any potential damage and to locate the instruction manual (found in larger box). The doors are packaged incredibly well. They were in mint condition! These doors are of top quality and have all the needed track hardware. You will need to decide if you can use existing tile or do new tile, use an existing fiberglass base or purchase a new one, and pending your configuration of the shower floor, possibly add a new drain. Unfortunately, because of my husband’s time constraints we are hiring a contractor for the install. Since the contractor is not available for 6 weeks I am unable to offer photos of the finished bathroom, however, I am really looking forward to having a larger, updated modern coastal shower!. harriet.
