I bought this flatware for our anniversary years ago. I love it, because it is gorgeous and goes well with my Johnson Brother’s dishes, that my husband of 52 years bought me for an engagement gift years ago. The dishes are used for Special occasions and when we have Guests for dinner. I have never wanted Silverware because of the upkeep. The Michelangelo are the next best thing. The knives have the heaviness that you expect with fine 1820 flatware. The pattern is a pattern you expect to be used in fine silverware without the upkeep. Our family has grown and we do more entertaining now, that we are retired. I have been wanting to add to my flatware for years and when I saw Wayfair carried it I ordered it. The free shipping is one of the best parts of Wayfair. I also would like to mention, that, when I ordered my first piece of furniture from Wayfair, there was a problem with a coffee table I ordered.
