We purchased these doors to replace the monolithic 1978 solid wood doors that were original to the house. We wanted more light in the front of the house, and we also wanted privacy and beauty. I will say that we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and the effect of the curb appeal. For the price point (about $2,500 on sale) the doors are a real value. We looked for a while and we couldn't find any doors we liked online for under $8,000-$12,000, except for these. I was afraid that they might seem cheap, but this was not the case. They are heavy, seemingly well constructed, and now that they are installed they feel solid and of high quality. The glass is great, and you can't see in from the street, but plenty of light can enter the house. The bevels diffuse the light and act like prisms with just the right light and angles, showing various colors which is really cool. We have only had them up a week and at least 6 neighbors have stopped by to compliment them. Be sure to add in $800-1,200 for a contractor to install them (it's not something to try for your first door-hanging project), plus the door handle which does not come with it. I got free shipping, which had to cost a lot. It came in a giant crate and was amazingly well packaged. (See image) Everything arrived in perfect condition. I really couldn't be more happy with this product. I do recommend it to you. . Christopher. Anaheim, CA. 2020-09-13 15:11:33
