For the price it works. I bought it because it’s was a platform bed and I didn’t want to spend the extra money on a box spring. The description is recommending an 8” mattress, however that size leaves an unappealing gap between the mattress and headboard. I ended up having to get a box spring mattress to correct that. If you have a much thicker mattress I don’t think you would have to worry about that. Overall I think the bed is pretty sturdy. It doesn’t take up much space depth wise because I used small nightstands and placed them just like the picture. My client and their guests were pleased with the overall appearance.. Mesha .
