I ordered this fan to replace an older fan. I wanted something slicker and updated. My old fan had five blades that were 6 inch shorter than these. My boyfriend and I thought that it would only take about three hours to take down the old fan and put the new one up, but let’s say it took us about eight hourswith a run to the hardware store for a few parts.
