Works great! Most pet steps are not built for long dogs (dachshunds). These work great for her to get onto the couch and it folds up to an ottoman or seat when needed. Pretty good set of pet stairs. Pros. Very easy to assemble. The tops of the steps are soft and smushy like little cushions. The cushion for the interior of the large step is soft. There is room in both the middle and bottom steps to store things inside, but the lids require both hands to get them situated, so you can't just casually lift off the lid and toss something inside and then return the lid. Cons. The three steps are held together with big hook-and-loop strips. I'm using it for an older cat who can jump onto the middle step okay; I wanted to put the small step that's meant to be at the bottom on the top platform instead to allow her to get up higher. The small step fits nicely on the high step (it's half the width), but there's nothing to hold it in place, so it slips off easily. So you really have to configure it exactly in the picture. Has helped with getting my dogs on and off the bed without them hurting themselves by jumping off.
