I would expect that a mailbox that is outdoors would have stainless steel screws. With a white finish I can look forward to brown stains from the rusted screws. Really love it. Looks expensive, very sturdy, attractive color. Two reasons for not giving 5 stars. The first is that it did not come with a kit to attach it to the post. Maybe this is not a given, it was my first time ever installing my own mailbox, but it would have been nice if the description had noted that a kit would be needed. I ended up having to delay installation a day because of needing to go to the store to buy a kit to attach it to the post. The second reason is that my mailbox came with a little chip of the bronze material missing. I’ve shown this in one of my pictures. We do a lot of online shopping and receive many small to mid-sized packages. This large capacity mailbox is USPS approved but MUCH larger than boxes made since 1914, as it is a newly approved size. Besides being roomy, it is an attractive oil rubbed bronze with nickel colored flag and handle. The magnetic closure keeps the lid tight, and the flag is sturdy and does not slip out of position. My current box flag sags and will not stay in the correct place. I can't wait to get this erected and into use. It will save the postal workers walking to my front door once or twice a week.
