I really love this playset. It does exactly what I wanted it to do. My daughter loves climbing the ladder and look out from the balcony. The playset, with the app to help, was so easy to install. The most difficult thing for me was leveling the area. Otherwise was simple. I didn’t take a star away for this, but I figured I’d write a couple things that I noticed that either needed to be changed or could be done to make the install simpler. The playset used a lot of T-Nuts and if I knew ahead of time, I could’ve hammered them in from a hard surface. It made me think I was going to snap the wood sometimes when I put them on after the wood was up. There was a point on the instructions that said you should put the wall panels on 3 1116” below the board, but if you did that, it wouldn’t have attached at the top. Definitely should be higher. The block under the slide should not be that far back. Instead, the instructions should have you drill the holes for the slide first, put the block on, then attach the slide. Also, the block for the slide should be curved, to account for the hole locations of the slide. Finally, the cross boards for the roof should also have a miter on them so when you bring the two tops together, it connects at a nice 90 degree angle. Thereby limiting the water that comes in. I was very happy with the quality of the set overall. It is Chinese cedar and many boards were cupped and bowed, so just be careful during installation to overcome that. The instruction manual was highly detailed and made installation a breeze. You will need table saw, oscillating saw and sander to make minor modifications to some deck boards and others. Took me 2 1/2 full days to assemble by myself. Advice: Organize all boards alphabetically and numerical and lay all bolts, screws and lags out low to high value to speed installation. . Andy. It’s a nice and cute swing set. However, some wood parts came with cracks. So I ordered replacement. And some wood parts had no numbers at all. It was frustrating that I had to sort everything out and mark the ones that were missing numbers. Even with careful drilling and positioning I had cracks here and there as I noticed holes were not aligned but nothing that had to worry about safety. I used the BILT app which was very helpful. Not a big review guy here but since I relied heavily on them when purchasing, it's only fair I share my thought/experience; 1. The quality of this not bad at all, but do not expect it be of the same quality as something with heavy duty lumber that is 5x the price. The set is sturdy once assembled (I am about 170lbs and feel comfortable standing on the platform). No it is not designed for your adult friends to crawl all over and yes it will "creak" when they do. My 2 yr. old loves it (obviously a little small for the ladder/rockwall) and it is a very fun design for different types of play. 2. Assembly; I assembled myself, about half time with a helper and half without. It is def. a two person job, there are certain steps that are going to be extremely difficult with one person (i.e. the roof). For just assembly it probably took me 2 full days, (with a few mistakes here and there) I HIGHLY recommend using the digital instructions on the BILT app, not sure I would've made it with just a piece of paper. My biggest complaint and why I am giving four instead of five stars; it makes no logical sense to me that the wood comes stained BUT NOT SEALED. I researched the heck out of this thing and did not realize that until it was sitting in my driveway. Sealing the wood before assembling was a royal pain in the a$$ and ate up and extra full day in addition to assembly. Seems like it would not have been a big deal to seal the wood when it was stained by the factory. (BTW your warranty is void if you do not seal the wood). All in all great quality for the price, very sturdy despite what you will think when you open the box and see 100's of small pieces of wood, assembly requires some dedication and hard work but very doable (if you don't own a drill, just hire someone to do it)..
