The design of the shed is what sold us! Upon delivery of the shed, we began losing our excitement. The instruction manual required someone with architectural rendering experience to understand some of the instructions. Not easy for a semi-pro to figure it out. The majority of the wood was not marked, so each piece of wood had to be measured and marked to insure the shed would be square. Some of the 2 x4's had massive curves or were split, so adjustments had to be made to insure solid construction. Wood quality seemed like C grade. Overall I am very happy so far with this shed. I found it to be very well thought out. I spent an entire day working on it but I was able to do it on my own. I’m a mechanic and probably spent to much time on detail and reading and rereading instructions however this ended up in no mistakes and a quality job. I wish the corner braces were aluminum too. I used concrete anchors to secure to the slab that has been in my yard for ever. I silocone caulked between the floor and wall panels when done to seal the floor up. I am interested to see how the panels hold up against the ridiculous hail here in Denver and I too am interested to see how it withstands the wind gusts we get here. At first it felt like I was building a shed out of paint pan liners but overall it came together nicely. There was some slight shipping damage to several of the aluminum pieces of the frame which I worked with and one call to Wayfair customerservice got me a prompt discount that made it well worth it to me. I bought this shed due to its availability as every other pre-fab shed out there of this size was on backorder due to the supply-chain situation going on in the world today and I needed a shed. It arrived a couple of days early so that was nice! Upon first glance in opening the cartons though, the walls, roof and especially the flooring material is VERY flimsy and I considered returning it. As I said I though, I needed a shed so I decided to keep it and put it together. I did not have a helper so I had to assemble it solo and in retrospect wish I did have help as it took a total of 16 hours to assemble and the instructions were like reading a coloring book; it seems that a couple of steps are out-of-order too, as I had to undo and redo a few to make it work Once I finally finished the build it turns out to be pretty stable with the exception of the floor which was so flimsy and warped and did not have any kind of sealing method between the panels. Luckily I had a roll of Gorilla duct tape and sealed the panels with that. My opening was just 87" so it just barely fit but did fit nicely. I live in the Pacific Northwest so I am now waiting to see how rain-tight it is! As for the foundation, I used concrete pavers but highly recommend laying down a concrete pad allowing at least 6" around the 4 sides first as it would have been much easier. As for the value, I do not believe it is worth what they are asking but as I said, with inflation going through the roof and supply channels being so slow right now it is what it is.. Don. I was so very pleased when I started looking at the brochure directions! They are well done and easy to understand. I build this Factor 8x6ft shed by myself and I am a 60+ female. It is like putting together a puzzle...much fun. I split my puzzle time into two afternoons, followed directions and took my time. It turned out great! The only part when you need 2 people is to attach the roof panels. Most important is to build a level base. I did that with 12"x12" pavers. Honestly, that was the most difficult part of the project. Everything else went very smoothly. The shed is a perfect size for all your garden tools or could be a great playhouse if little children were around! p.s. I was impressed with the door lock/latch because unlike other sheds I had looked at, it is secured within the wall panels of the door so you can add a lock if needed.. Cecile. This is a great shed. I put mine on a 2x6 frame with 2x6 16 on center and decked with 54x6 deck boards which made a very strong floor. I put this together by myself in about 14 hours including the floor. There are some steps that are somewhat difficult by your self but take your time and you will figure it out. One of the most difficult parts is installing the wall panels without them falling over, to overcome this I used a 6' step latter and clamp to hold the walls up. One thing I would highly recommend is a can of silicone spray which will make snapping the panels in a breeze. One question I have read in other reviews is will the sky light panels interchange and the answer is yes. I put mine on the back side of the shed.The only other thing I would say is that you must have a flat and level foundation whether it be wood gravel or dirt.. Roger. Jasper, TN. 2014-01-19 07:19:46
