This is a fixed-standing seam product that is modular, DIY, and hand-crafted. The framework is made out of a beautiful commercial-grade mill finish aluminum that is powder-coated and will not rust. LOVE. Great quality and they look amazing. I was quoted $6500 from a local awning company for the same "look" and for the same four windows. I think this awning will work for areas that do not recieve High winds that will directly impact the awning. I inserted an aluminum 0ne inch wide three feet long bar under the center of the awning to give it more support. We get 60 mile an hour winds. I bought two of these to go above two buildings in my back yard. As a carpenter, I couldnt build these for this price. They are a little flimsy when putting together, and I did put some extra self tapping screws in. They come in grey, but I painted mine black to match. You will need to put a bead of clear silicone caulk around the perimeter on top, to prevent leaks. As you can see in one of my pics, I only used half of one on one of my doors. To me, they were well worth the money, and after installation, they look fabulous on my buildings. Now if you live in an area of snow, this will most certainly not hold up in those conditions.
