I was really surprised when I got this. It is super simple, but very cool looking. It is constructed with landscaping timbers and with (my guess) pallets as the top part. The top part are nice different colors. The photos they have are really dull - but it is a lot prettier in person. I did a fair amount of research on these rain barrels (thanks to all the reviewers out there) and went with Ivy based on the reviews. I waited until I had fully used it to review, and I have to say, this one is really good. You can see from the photos that I put it on several inches of concrete blocks to get enough height to feed the water. My original hose was too long, but this little 25 footer works fine. The plastic nozzle fitting was disappointing -- I thought it would be metal -- but it's working so far. The overflow hose is not long enough, so you can see the kludgy set up I've got to get it into the plants, but I'll fix that. 50 gals perfectly watered my entire little garden.. Janet. The Moby 65 gallon rain barrel by Rain Water Solutions is sturdy and does the job well. Rain came to our area yesterday evening and overnight filled the barrel. I located it at a rear corner of our house, on an existing cement pad, and elevated additionally with cap blocks. The upper spigot is high enough now for the gravity fed water to flow very well to our nearby garden boxes (18 inches tall). Am impressed with how the order was handled – fast delivery and came as advertised. It comes with all the miscellaneous parts including one spigot, plug, overflow hose, screen, cap and cap screws, even Teflon tape. I decided to buy a second spigot for the lower access point vice using the plug. Reason – much easier to drain the last few gallons of water if needed. Installation and setup were fairly straightforward. However, despite following exact directions for measuring where to cut the downspout, it was off by a full inch. (I've scrolled through and only one other reviewer said this, and reported if being off 1/2 inch. Could the drill markings on my barrel been THAT far off? I doubt it.) It said measure down 3", we did. After drilling, the hose was not level; it was a full inch higher on the downspout side. We checked our measurements, checked our work, twice before and again after. We did follow directions so not user error! So we bought another concrete block and lifted the barrel up and it seems level "enough" at this point. One other point, our connector hose is not fully extended but probably about 75% extended since we couldn't place the barrel any closer to the downspout. And I tried to test it by shooting the hose up on the roof however the weight of the water in the extended hose was enough that it caused sagging between the downspout and barrel. I've added some rope to support it and am hoping this works. UPDATED 11-28-20. It works great. We've actually now taken it down for the winter but it works so well we will probably buy one or two more for next year.. JBean. Seacoast NH. 2021-03-01 05:42:54
