This Sofa Bed is covered all throughout in 100% Genuine Italian Top Grain Leather which is treated for resistance against UV damage, fading, and staining. When the living room is also a double-duty area, this thoughtfully crafted sofa bed is exactly what is needed. This piece will leave a good impression for its timeless design and functionality as it sits like a sofa while also being able to sleep on it like a (real) bed. Crafted in Italy with Italian Components, the sofa is padded generously with high-density polyurethane foam over webbing to provide not only comfort but support in the sitting position. With the pull of the concealable back strap, the sofa converts into a bed without having to remove any of the cushions that tumble internally exposing first a compartment to easily store sheets and pillows and thereafter exposing a true US queen-size mattress (60" x 78"). The bed frame is constructed of steel tubes and bars that support an independent left and right-side wood slat mattress base which promotes good sleeping posture and support. The mattress is made out of a solid piece of polyurethane foam covered with a removable and washable cover for the best hygiene and an unmistakable clean and fresh feeling. Converting from a bed back to a sofa is a matter of lifting the bottom bar of the bed frame and pushing it back which untumbles the bed internally into the sofa frame. Functionality and Practicality are therefore part of the personality of this sofa bed. For ease of transport and maneuvering in tight spaces. This sofa bed is shipped in 2 pieces with the arms in a separate package. Putting it together is a matter of sliding the arms into the keyway – no tools are required. If in case space is a concern, the front and back panels can be easily removed and installed without much effort.
