They are beautiful, bright white background. The pattern doesn’t quite line up but I think it adds to the more whimsical pattern. We used them in the kitchen for a backsplash and on the floor in the powder room. Originally the contractor grouted them white and I didn’t like that look, I like the grayish grout better. This terrific tile was used in a very busy entry way and we got creative with the pattern by using two different sizes. I had seen this tile at the local big box store for much more per square foot. Same tile. The tiles arrived slowly by a third party delivery company so order with plenty of time to spare. They were well packed and not one tile for my large bathroom was damaged. They are a little more weathered than I expected but are still beautiful. The surface is not smooth, almost feels dirty, but the look is perfect for my old farmhouse. I would order a little more than expected since the large tiles must all face a certain direction and you will have more waste when cutting. Update: had the tiles installed for a kitchen backsplash and they look great. Photos updated! Great tiles! Ordered a sample of this tile and a few others. Took a chance and decided to go with this one for a kitchen backsplash (beige cream). So far we're very happy with the quality, color, variety, and the packaging. Ordered 10 boxes and they came shrink wrapped and tied down on a pallet, delivered by Wayfair (scheduled). I have opened each box, and haven't found a single broken one yet. This is an excellent looking product. Arrived well packaged and none were broken. Looks a lot like distressed brick when installed with 1/4 grout lines. There was a LOT of variety in this tile, making it look like a custom made product. There were more than 20 different patterns in my two boxes.
