The installation was professionally done, although I probably could have completed the hard labor myself (LOL). I am very happy with the outcome and can now enjoy a few more years of use because of the convenience of no longer having to pull it out of a closet or from an awkward shelf. A bonus was to have the fabricator place a pull-out shelf just below the resting position of the Heavy Duty Lift System and it worked out quite well. The bottom-line, if you still enjoy the challenge of fine food preparation and need a little assistance that a mechanism such as this device provides, than you should go for it. Absolutely best thing I have put in my kitchen. Wife is happy now that she no longer has to move her heavy KitchenAide mixer around when she wants to use it and it is off the counter which helps the appearance. When she uses it she just has to reach down and lift it out with 2 fingers and when she is done she pulls the handle and pushes down slightly and then it takes over and slowly lowers back into the cabinet like magic. Unfortunately, it didnt serve the purpose of letting my mom reach the items in the high-up kitchen cabinets, since the pull-down bar sits just above the cabinet floor (if you mount it to the cabinet base). It definitely cant be overflowing or overloaded since its moving up and down. Theres not much to be done with that, although I probably would have liked the back wall of the shelves to go up higher. Bought four of them for our master bathroom vanity since they are narrow cabinets with obstructive plumbing and these were perfect! They totally navigate the pipes and are a much better use of the cabinet space compared to just throwing everything in there and hoping it all fits properly. There was truly no other off-the- shelf storage solution that worked for this tight space. Installation was very easy although the paper template didn't exactly line up with all the slider frames so use the frame itself as the template and mark the holes accordingly for more accurate hole locations and ease of installation. Fairly easy to install. Just follow the instructions and use the template provided. I used a square just to be sure I had it parallel with the cabinet. Works great - even to the point of the door fitting perfectly. Installation tip for the door face: initially, leave the door on it's original hinges, install the drawer, close the drawer (push all the way in) then use a rubber band to hold a sharpie in the holes that will secure the door face. When you close the door, the sharpie will make a small mark on the door exactly where you need to drill a pilot hole. Repeat for each of the four holes, install the door and you should have a perfect fit.
