These are in the style of a Roman shade, which is a nice concept for covering the glass panel in French Doors. They are magnetic, so easy to position up or drop down. However, instead of some type of metal or sturdy resin material, the “rod” inserts at the back of the shade are cheap plastic tubes which do not fit tightly enough or stay together very well— when inserting to the back of the curtain, the sections come apart. There are several colors to choose from, and the material is lightweight, but blocks even the strong sunlight we have in the desert. These were super easy to put up. I purchased two. They needed to be ironed first. One of my windows faces an alley where the house next door can see into the room. I also have 2 small dogs who destroy mini blinds from looking out windows, so I have had to find a better solution for window coverings. In this room, I ended installed electrostatic faux stained glass in the bottom glass panel of my window and replaced the mini binds with pleated shades. The shades stay down on the front window to let light in and privacy. The pleated shades stay up on the window facing the alley.
