I've had this awesome file box for a few years now and noticed that one of the caps of the hinges has come off and the file box cannot stay closed when being carried. It does not appear that I've overloaded the file box, as it's always held the files I've stored and there is room to slide them around for accessibility, so I'm not sure what caused the part to pop off. I've reached out to customer support for assistance finding replacement caps. When I was looking at this, I'm finding that this is a common issue. Hopeful that Sterilite: a. has replacement parts readily available and, b. they improve the design for future file boxes! Aside from the part, I do like this box. I ordered two of these to store my personal files and they work great! I love that the box protects my files from spills, the extra compartment for stationary items, and that it is easy to carry around. You do have to purchase letter size hanging file folders for them, but they fit great. The front and back hanging file folders tend to fall off, but if you put weighted papers in those they stay in place. Also, it took me a while to understand how to properly open and close the black latch, but once I figured it out it was very easy to use.
