This composter arrived sooner than promised so I was very pleased. It comes flat-packed with about a dozen pieces. I had seen comments about damage in shipping, and though there was some evidence of rough handling, it is double-boxed in 2 layer corrugated board and Bubble Cushion bags for each piece, and there was no damage at all. All parts were nicely finished and went together with stainless steel or nylon fasteners. There is an on-line video to illustrate assembly, but there is a very clear, wordless, one-page instruction sheet, so I haven't seen the video. It took me 1 hour and 47 minutes to assemble it, but more than 2 hours to run the shipping boxes thru my paper shredder to make compost. When you do that, there is very little shipping waste to go to the landfill (I am keeping the Bubble Cushion). Just the packaging tape and 2 pieces of packing foam. I immediately began filling it with grass clippings, the shredded packaging and a little bit of compost as a started. After 3 days the bin is full and temperature is up to 145 deg F. I love it. Pros: Really well designed and well made Cons: The 8 side panels have a bent fin at each end that screws to the octagonal end panels, and those screw holes are a tight fit.
