This is my 3rd Rowenta. I’m afraid to try another brand simply because this is just what I needed and wanted. If you are looking for an iron that does from the simplest lace handkerchief to the toughest old time denim then this is what you want. I’m not saying that it’s the only iron that can do the work but, in my book it’s the simplest, finest and best that I know and it handles like a good, well and refined small machine. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used several different garment steamers, but this one does it all. It is quick to warm up and gets the job done fast. Now I don't cringe when my husband lets me know as he is about to get ready that he needs a dress shirt steamed. I even was able to put creases in my husbands dress pants with ease. I love how it is full size yet the pole collapses down so it can be stored easily. The wheels make it handy when needing to move it around. This is perfect for traveling to dance competitions and makes quick of any creasing or steaming needs for costumes The steam is powerful yet can be turned down so it is gentle. The steamer handle is light weight so it is easy on your wrists when there is a lot of wrinkles that need to be gotten rid of. We have floor to ceiling drapes and this works beautifully to keep them looking smooth and wrinkle free. I usually use distilled water in it, but I like that it has a descaling feature in case there is any build up. (I have not had to use it of yet, but like that it is there if I need it.). Thump9. I continue to buy this iron for quilting although it never lasts more than a few months. The temperature dial starts to stick then eventually it no longer operates.
