These dishes are beautiful and high quality. I needed a set to mix with other dishes I will continue using and these are right at home. I was looking for something simple but not just typical white plates and they’re perfect. They arrived on time and totally intact. As many reviewers have noted, they are not a bright white even though they do photograph that way. They are a warm white and the edge is medium gray. I love the two finishes, almost satin on the underside and gloss inside. The satin finish helps to hold the dish in your hand and the gloss is so nice and easy to clean. The weight is just right, not too heavy. These dishes could be dressed up or down with other items. My family approved of them immediately, yay. The bowl is a terrific size. I don’t find it too shallow as some have mentioned. Beautiful, modern, causally elegant dinnerware for every day use. I keep admiring them and look forward to serving wonderful meals.. Alicia. It's beautiful. It's perfect for tea for one. The cup is a really nice size and holds 12 oz. (full), and the teapot holds 16 oz. I am a total tea drinker, so I would make hot water, one for the cup and one for the pot, using a bag for each.
