I was afraid this curtain rod would look like an afterthought in my rental apartment's awesome bathroom, but it's beautiful and matches the chrome fixtures perfectly! I'm so glad that I splurged a little on a nicer option. As for the ease of use, I'm 5'4" and I tried putting it up by myself, with a step stool. I probably just didn't push it tight enough, because it fell after hanging the curtains. But with a little help from my mom, we got it! Overall, I do like it and the function is as expected but, what I do NOT like is the very noticeable rubber connection piece - right in the center of the rod... it’s impossible not to notice. I bought two of these curved shower rods in chrome. I chose these instead of a screw-in rod because the tile in my tub area runs high up the wall and I might also renovate with new tile in the future, so not having to drill is a plus. This is a nice upgrade over the cheap spring-loaded tension rods I used previously. The curve adds shoulder room in the shower and the decorative end caps snap in to give the shower rod a very clean appearance and match my Moen Eva hardware and faucet. The push/pull button latching system admittedly doesn’t look great, but it’s a tradeoff I’m okay with because, along with the stout tension wheel at the left end of the rod, they do a much better job securing the rod to the wall than the "keep twisting half of the rod" method of cheaper tension shower rods. Works well and easy enough to assemble and install. It's been up a few days and has staying in place; time will tell if it holds well. One improvement suggestion: don't put the black plastic caps on so tight for shipping protection.
