I love these. For some reason I expected all the big plates to be one color and all the small bowls to be a different color and so on, but all four item types have one of every color shown (one creamy mocha/dried earth, one terracotta, one faded denim, one almond milk). The wide mouth bowl wasn't as wide as I'd expected, which was a relief; i wanted to be able to find everyday uses for both bowls, and I have. The colors that appeared on my computer monitor on the site were true to the reality before me, but since everyone's monitor, settings, and eyes are a little different there's always room for someone else to not have as lovely as experience. I've attached pictures with many props to try to lend a three dimensional idea of the sizes and shapes. The obvious prop is silverware, but sadly I don't own any and so could not include them as helpful references. I've given these a few hard smacks on accident since getting them a couple weeks ago and there's been no chipping or otherwise noticeable damage. The downside is that my plates especially arrived with several scratches. It's clear everything was packaged up very carefully, and I appreciated that everything except some plastic feet on the inside of the box was recyclable, but the scrapes are sad.. Sam Danger. I was searching for a set of dishes that would blend with my Lucky Brand Pacific Tide set. I love my new dishes. The color was just what I wanted. The pictures show the true color all but me holding the mug. They are sturdy and of a nice weight. Theyre also of a good size. All items are thick and heavy. The rim of the cups are smooth. I like it because it gives the drink a more mellow taste! Some painting is not perfect as I can see some small spots on the white area but it isn’t a big deal to me. All items have special ceramic material at the bottom to avoid slipping. Great set. I really like the color and style. I think the pictures are accurate for color and tone. One star down because of inconsistencies in the "speckled" glaze. I found that the smaller pieces had the nice subtle speckle shown in photos, but the larger pieces had much darker spots that almost look like food or debris (as some other reviewers have noted). I also place wax paper between each piece when stacking because the raw earthware bottoms are rough enough that I fear scratching the glaze of the pieces they are nested in.. Ben.
