I got this in the 1.5 qt. size and you can see what a standard 15.5 oz can of food looks like in there for scale. I've had this 3 years now and can say Tramontina's tri-ply is really good quality. I'm not sure why they don't seem to get as much attention as brands like Calphalon, but they should. I also have a Tramontina 8" tri-ply skillet and it performs really well, too. I bought this set because of how many pots come with it. I love that I get 3 sauce pots! They stack great, are lightweight, and look really nice. The lids are shallow so they can stack upright in a drawer and don't take up very much space. The bottom is smooth and coated which is a plus because the dishwasher doesn't dull the bottom of the pan, however I have noticed that it is doing it to the top rim of the pans. They are starting to get that dull rainbow look from the dishwasher. So these pans can go it the dishwasher but they will last longer if they are hand washed. The lids are vented on 2 sides. I wish they only vented on one side or the top because when you have 4 things going on the stove at once that's 8 spots where steam comes out!
