Great hybrid mattress! Be forewarned, it is very dense and compact in box and when you unpack it it springs violently opens! So be careful! It took about 5 hours to expand to full 12 inches, so don’t worry when you first see it upon opening. (See pictures…taken 5 hours apart). There is zero odor it is very plush yet has firm support. So far, so great! The smell is not overt nor unbearable, and I am told that the mattress immediately inflated to its size. The first night it was okay for comfort, and excellent with cooling(I sleep hot normally) and the second night was perfect comfort. It is mediumfirm and normally I prefer firm but as this is my first memory foam, its perfect for me. I woke up refreshed and not in pain. I have severe back issues, surgery on Left L45S1 laminectomy when I was 29. Its a very nice looking mattress, as well. I was concerned about no longer having a pillowtop mattress, but I can say that I do not miss it. I will update in 98 days if I still love it or if I exchanged it, which is a wonderful Wayfair feature to have when you buy a mattress from them. This is what tipped me in their favor. Mattress came quickly and I was very happy with that. Still very happy with the mattress, and it has been 2 years. I got an adjustable base a year ago and it works good with that. I purchased this mattress to replace a older memory foam that did not have the gel memory foam. It was 2:00 pm when it was delivered. I unpacked this mattress and put it on my bed. I know you are suppose to wait 24-48 hours for it to expand and decompress. The first night it felt very soft and I thought oh no. The next night it had firmed up and was absolutely perfect. I slept all night and didn't wake up hot or sweaty. The third night it was more comfortable than I could have ever imagined. Do yourself a favor and purchase this mattress. I love the 16 inch height and this is firm but soft and supportive! when you lay on this your first reaction is oh this is firm but just soft enough. husband and I sleep great.making the bed up every morning si easier all the sheets stay in place. This is an amazing bed I’ve had this bed since November of 2022 , I’m writing this review in March 2023. I sleep beautifully every night no aches or pains when I wake up. There’s no issues with a dip or anything we lay at different spots during naps and stuff and that helps. The major problem I have with this bed …… if you are sweaty or have BO issues, do NOT get this bed . The sweat and stench gets trapped in the bed and it feels ruined. I use baking soda to help deodorize it but it just seems like the moisture and bacteria is trapped . I use a mattress protect also. Otherwise you’ll love this bed it’s the best bed for your back it contours and I used. A coupon site and got free shipping so look around for coupons when making purchase..
