I’ve ordered these twice already. I love them. They go through the winter with no problem. I never take them out of the ground. They give a moderate amount of light, enough to be able to see what you’re doing, but not enough to bother the neighbors at night. If you have a light that doesn’t work, remember you have to activate the switch in the back. I even have some in shady areas but they collect enough indirect sun to shine at night. They look great in flower pots and really cool against black mulch and ground cover plants. I don’t care for the lights on a post. You mount them on posts that you stake into the ground, and during the day the solar panel atop the lights collects rays from the sun, charging the battery within so that energy can be utilized as light when it gets dark. I needed lights on my back stairs. They were pitch dark at night. I had a motion detector light at the top of the stairs but it did not light them. These LED step lights do the job. My husband a diy’er installed them. They are AC not ACDC. Do not need a transformer. The picture shows everything he he used except 16 gage electrical wire. Not difficult for an experienced person. The dark area on the stairs has no lights. We will be buying another set unless we can get them individually.
