[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The assembly was a breeze as we just had the mattresses and bases delivered to our garage because we are doing some renovations to our home. Our product was on back order for a short time. However the customer service was prompt and easy to reach. Our bed is awesome!!! The adjusting base is a must. If you are a side/stomach sleeper this will feel amazing! This is a medium to soft mattress which is the perfect firmness if you have hip or back pain. Nice amount of curve hugging, without feeling like you are sinking. Box arrived without damage in 3 days and it was just as I expected. I got the king size, so it was a 2 person job. We took it out of the box in the driveway, carried it up the steps, placed it on the existing box spring, and then followed the instructions. There are 2 plastic wraps. The mattress was folded in half, so we unfolded it, and cut off the second plastic wrap. It went from completely flat and too small to over 12" tall and perfect from corner to corner in less than one minute. This hybrid is replacing a less than a year old cool gel style 12" foam only mattress. We noticed an immediate difference from the gel to this hybrid. It feels much softer, more like a pillow top, but still with the edge firmness to be able to put socks and shoes on from the sides/end. There is a smell when unwrapping (not unpleasant), but it went away very quickly and after an hour it is not noticeable. I think this is very normal for the foam mattress styles. After sleeping uncomfortably on a gel mattress (another brand) we are excited to wake up without body aches! This is better than I had hoped, I will update this if it is anything less than 5 stars.. Amazingly quiet motor, all metal build, and the remote lights up (but only the LCD part - the buttons themselves are difficult to read in low light) and has worked flawlessly. Doesn't creak at all. It's a hair smaller than the queen mattress so that it the whole mechanism can fit inside any bed frame that has removable inner boxspring support rails. It's got a great supportive surface for a memory foam mattress. The metal legs have three sections that can allow you to adjust the height. My pics show it with a 14" mattress purchased from here as well, and with I adjusted the height so that the top of the 14" thick mattress was either 25" or 28" tall, with the bottom clearance beneath the bed either 7.5" or 10" (which is pretty high and allows my robot vacuum to get beneath it, something it can't do under my other beds). Knowing this now, I'd have bought a 12" thick mattress so that the bed is 23" tall since many nightstands are that height. I'd recommend another set of hands to carry it in and assemble it. Instructions are straightforward. It arrived with a slight gouge in the top surface due to a gash in the box, but is hidden by the mattress. The box it arrived in was heavy and unwieldy for the shippers, so i believe that it should be split into two boxes since the bed, in the box, already is in two equal size pieces that you bolt together for assembly.). Wow!! This dealt plush pillow top mattress is beyond comfortable!! I bought it for my toddler’s big girl bed in the twin size. It arrived in a nice thick plastic fully sized out, it’s not one of those that can roll up and decompress..which offers stability and plush comfort. It is a real mattress! Firm and cozy.
