If you are a side/stomach sleeper this will feel amazing! This is a medium to soft mattress which is the perfect firmness if you have hip or back pain. Nice amount of curve hugging, without feeling like you are sinking. Box arrived without damage in 3 days and it was just as I expected. I got the king size, so it was a 2 person job. We took it out of the box in the driveway, carried it up the steps, placed it on the existing box spring, and then followed the instructions. There are 2 plastic wraps. The mattress was folded in half, so we unfolded it, and cut off the second plastic wrap. It went from completely flat and too small to over 12" tall and perfect from corner to corner in less than one minute. This hybrid is replacing a less than a year old cool gel style 12" foam only mattress. We noticed an immediate difference from the gel to this hybrid. It feels much softer, more like a pillow top, but still with the edge firmness to be able to put socks and shoes on from the sides/end. There is a smell when unwrapping (not unpleasant), but it went away very quickly and after an hour it is not noticeable. I think this is very normal for the foam mattress styles. After sleeping uncomfortably on a gel mattress (another brand) we are excited to wake up without body aches! This is better than I had hoped, I will update this if it is anything less than 5 stars.. What a great memory foam mattress! It was easy to unwrap and extend open. I waited 24hrs to allow full air expansion. It feels great, I slept like a baby, it instantly helped with my lower back issues ( guess I needed a new mattress). I decided to write this review exactly 2 weeks after it arrived. We have been sleeping much better. I did my whole review, contemplating, going back forth for the perfect bed in a box like the majority of you reading this. Yeah, it took almost 48 hrs like it says to expand to 12 inches. It’s honestly not completely Plush, but after reading most the reviews I knew that. I wanted to purchase a “Plush” just so I knew if it happened I could tolerate a “medium” feel, which it is completely a medium-soft feel. Overall, it’s helped our back’s we will give it a 45 ⭐️. We paid 70 for someone to come pick up our old mattress box spring so include that in your overall cost as well. I’m Impressed so far, and you can sit fine on the edges of the bed also.. Meghan. I'm an active average sized person but have some sciatic / hip issues that some mattress can really aggravate. I find to be very soft/comfortable (almost like being cradled) warm, while also being very supportive and not "hot". I don't have a hard time moving around in it and my sciatic pain is absolutely lessened when sleeping in this bed. We've had it for about 6 months now and it shows NO impressions what so ever. I hope it continues to hold up well. As a note; if you have a hard time with heavy things or have a lot of stairs the box this comes in is quite heavy and awkward to handle. The mattress-in-a-box invention is genius. It is so easy to transport to your room of choice - no need to worry about narrow staircases or doorways. This mattress came sooner than expected and in great condition. Once the plastic was removed, it instantly expands (make sure you have it where you want it before cutting the plastic film!). I didn't notice a smell but the instructions say to let the mattress air out for 24 to 72 hours before using. The mattress took about 12-15 hours to fully expand to 10". You would never know the mattress was originally rolled up. The springs are fully intact and it feels just like any box-store mattress. The medium is definitely fairly soft but that is more because of the memory foam and because I tend to like really firm mattresses. I would probably get a firm one next time but it is not a deal-breaker. My back so far feels so much better on this mattress than the one previous! I got this memory foam mattress (queen size) for a guest bedroom in our home. Upon delivery I was pleasantly surprised at how compacted it was and the relatively small size of the box that it was in. I'm 5'3", 125# and I was able to unbox it and unwrap it by myself. I really like that it has a zippered cover so that it can be washed if needed. It seems really comfortable and well constructed. It's only been 10 min since I took it out of the shrink wrap and it's already about 7.5" deep. I'm assuming will continue to expand over the next 24 hours to the full 8". Well made super comfortable queen size sleeper sofa! I’m a 66 year old woman with a history of back problems, I managed to assemble this myself with minimal trouble... it’s a lot heavier than some of the reviews had led me to believe, but I got the job done in less and than an hour (including unboxing sliding it down the hall into the spare room using felt wood floor sliders) The back folds down flat easily without having to pull out the couch more than a few inches from the wall, and the only minor “con” I can think of I wish there was a mid-reclining option between the single one provided and the uprightflat position it’s a wee bit TOO inclined for my taste, but nothing a few throw pillows can’t remedy. Big plus I have long legs like the deep seat cushions on the couch, and the pop up trundle makes a fantastic lounger! ) The queen mattress is REALLY FIRM, so I bought a thick fluffy mattress cover to cushion it a bit for guests one side is cotton for summer, and the other is faux-wool plush for winter, which should make this the world’s most comfortable guest bed - EVER! The photos show the space behind the sofa in the reclining upright positions (the one with my little dog, Fergie, is of the sofa in the reclining position) The space in back of the sofa isn’t noticeable from the front, and actually leaves room for curtains to hang nicely. Finally, to add a cozy touch ( keep off pet hairs), I threw on an easy-to-wash cotton bedspread — there are so many different looksoptions for this wonderful sofa bed.... Wow!! This dealt plush pillow top mattress is beyond comfortable!! I bought it for my toddler’s big girl bed in the twin size. It arrived in a nice thick plastic fully sized out, it’s not one of those that can roll up and decompress..which offers stability and plush comfort. It is a real mattress! Firm and cozy.
