Although not needed, I decided to protect mine by sealing/staining it with a transparent stainer (see pics) after speaking with the Enclo's customer service. Simply a great portable AC unit. The unit comes ready to go straight out of the box. Setup, components and instructions are all there and easy to manage. The unit is on caster wheels and is easy to move around, however it requires more effort to move on carpeted areas. One note to keep in mind is that the condensation water drain valve is on the back and low to the ground, which requires one to swing the unit around and place a shadow pan to collect the water. Love it. All the other reviews are correct, this cedar is raw as it can be so use gloves at all times. Easy as ever to assemble. I used a tinted sealer from Woodmans ( natural cedar tint, sold at Ace hardware). I didn’t sand it as I just used a tinted sealer. Soaked it with just a paint brush, worked beautifully. If you wanted to stain then seal, then there’s a lot of sanding in your future. Original Color out of the box is exactly as pictured in the ad. had to buy this to keep my dog from peeing on my new AC unit that was just installed.
