Wow, just received the Seven Seas Asian Sideboard. It is big and beautiful. The delivery was flawless. It came in perfect condition without a scratch, nick, or dent. I love the color, one of the reasons I wanted this one. It is a darker red, I would say like a burgandy with an extra punch of red in it. Gorgeous! The distressing is minimal and attractive and kind of looks like an abstract botanical design on the cabinet. Overall the surface feels smooth to the touch. The drawers all slide smoothly. They are almost 13" front to back and extend a good 80% out. There is plenty of room in the bottom cabinets. The clearance height on the bottom half is about 12.75" and the top half is about 13.5". The interior cabinet is about 14" deep front to back. There are two sets of pre-drilled "threaded" holes in each cabinet to allow for shelf adjustment if desired. Note that the two middle doors only open slightly more than 90 degrees, at least they won't bump each other if opened together. The doors on each end open about 135 degrees. Extremely well made, heavy, solid wood furniture. The drawers all have a stop so they cannot be pulled out unintentionally. The finish is done in a way to mimic antique furniture. We love the console table in our entry way because its low profile is perfect for the space and the design has a lot of nice detail. We will be looking into more items by this manufacturer!!.
