My 10 year daughter and I built a chicken coop with this product. After doing lots of research, I knew I wanted to build my own. This kit was perfect for me. I decided to use 2x6's instead of 2x4 and it was very accommodating. The coop is super solid and I has very happy to only have to make straight cuts. I have attached a pic of the framing.. Carolyn. I was using this kit for a 8 x 6 shed and the instructions were basically useless. I initially got some help from Customer support on assembly but then I faced a new problem when trying to connect these beams to the shed. You've basically creating I-beams with this kit and I could not see how you could attach that to the side wall brackets. I saw other comments were I think they made it fit by cutting a notch in the bracket but I was concerned this could weaken the strength of the bracket. So I cut one lip at the end of the I-beam and bent it to make it fit. It still seems sturdy. Hopefully this will help the shed survive New England winters.. Michael. NEEDHAM, MA. 2022-07-30 16:41:29
