I haven’t had time to drill through my bathroom tile in order to straighten the rod out so it can operate how it should. But even as crooked and messed up as it looks, the rod itself is perfect and exactly what I wanted. It was the only shower rod I could find ANYWHERE that matched the rest of the hardware in the same bathroom I installed it. My third pic shows the rod with one of the pieces from the other hardware in that bathroom. It looks like these two pieces were purchased together from the same company, but boy did I search for another shower rod that matched the existing hardware. SUPER happy with it!!. Kate. I just opened the box for this shower curtain rod and it is solid material. It feels hearty and sturdy and not flimsy like so many of the shower curtains today. This is solid metal and it has heavy fixtures to affix to the shower walls. The special glue inside comes in really handy as I am not interested in drilling holes into my brand new tile and I would have had no idea what type of glue to purchase that would withstand long term exposure to water and moisture. Having said that, it even includes stickers to hold the end pieces in place after they've been glued down to give them a solid 48 hours to dry. This was an exact replacement, for the shower curtain rod I have had for about twenty years now. The company that makes these now must have bought the old one, and all I had to do was swap things out. They are getting hard to find, but they are the best ones out there, and the bar is one piece, and the brackets are strong, adjustable, and they last. All the new ones like this, have a two piece rod, with a joint, that the hooks have to jump over, to slide back and forth, which is a pain. I highly recommend this one.. Doug. I was having a hard time finding a curved shower rod because the walls on either end are perpendicular to each other, not parallel.
