These lights are as described, tall and made of metal. The only ones I have had are the solar plastic ones that didn’t last long at all. I thought these were solar but due to my fault and not reading the description like I should have, I need a transformer and an electrician to install them for me. Pretty cool lights. I know they are for a fence but they are a little too wide for my fence so I will have to rethink where I will use them probably on my deck, but for now Im using them on my pathway. You can change it from bright white to cool white lights. It charged pretty fast too in the sun. It came with a ruler and hardware but I cant use the hardware on my aluminum fence. 1. Turn on the switch and charge the solar nanel in full sunlight foat least 8 hours before the first use. 2. In cloudy weather or winter, charging time may be longer and working time may be shorter, which is normal for solar lamps and should not be considered as quality problem. 3. If the ground is too hard, do not twist or hammer it with force. Try to soften the ground with water and then insert into the ground. 4. Be sure to turn on the switch and install it in a locatioon where the sun can shine directly on the solar panel.

Love these outdoor lights. I just had lights on my garage changes and they are very similar in style to cute little lights. The lights light our pathway very nicely. The fixtures were easy to install, however I did not use the connectors that were supplied, they were not the best quality.
