Well made super comfortable queen size sleeper sofa! I’m a 66 year old woman with a history of back problems, I managed to assemble this myself with minimal trouble... it’s a lot heavier than some of the reviews had led me to believe, but I got the job done in less and than an hour (including unboxing sliding it down the hall into the spare room using felt wood floor sliders) The back folds down flat easily without having to pull out the couch more than a few inches from the wall, and the only minor “con” I can think of I wish there was a mid-reclining option between the single one provided and the uprightflat position it’s a wee bit TOO inclined for my taste, but nothing a few throw pillows can’t remedy. Big plus I have long legs like the deep seat cushions on the couch, and the pop up trundle makes a fantastic lounger! ) The queen mattress is REALLY FIRM, so I bought a thick fluffy mattress cover to cushion it a bit for guests one side is cotton for summer, and the other is faux-wool plush for winter, which should make this the world’s most comfortable guest bed - EVER! The photos show the space behind the sofa in the reclining upright positions (the one with my little dog, Fergie, is of the sofa in the reclining position) The space in back of the sofa isn’t noticeable from the front, and actually leaves room for curtains to hang nicely. Finally, to add a cozy touch ( keep off pet hairs), I threw on an easy-to-wash cotton bedspread — there are so many different looksoptions for this wonderful sofa bed.... So, just received it last night and im gonna give my initial thoughts, as i know i read through the reviews several times in helping me select such a large online purchase. First, love, LOVE the color and fabric, i went with slate. Oh my goodness, its perfect. Seems to be easy to wipe down with a cloth, water repelling. Had a bit of an odor from being the fake leather, but it dissipates quickly in the air. I need sometho g nonporous to avoid dustmites and dust, so this is a win for me. Cushions are firmer than i thought, but still very comfortable and will soften with time. Oh, yeah they do push out a bit, but its not a big thing. Lying down on this couch is wonderful! Better than my bed. As others mention, you need to screw in legs by yourself, no predrilled holes. Needed our power drill. But otherwise easy. Okay, so heres the main thing i would want to point out, or make me consider giving 4 stars. its on the smaller size seat depth and height wise. Im 57 and sitting straight up my shoulders are at top of back cushion. So it feels smaller than id like, but honestly i adjusted quickly and am so happy with the rest of the couch, im not gonna complain. Its also just an amazing value, ive been shopping for a sofa for while... And lastly, it just works and looks great in the space! I actually think a higher couch would have made the space feel closed and dark because we have this in front of an island. It looks gorgeous and 3 teens and hubs really like it! That doesnt happen around here, so. Btw had no problems with shipping. Delivered in good condition. Update: October 2019 Fabric is amazing. Couch is still great, but i would say the cushions have started to sink a bit, some might say break in. I mean they started firm, now i can feel some soft areas.. Anonymous.
