This is a sturdy and versatile bench that came together simply in 20 minutes. The wood is smooth but dry, so I used “Old English” wood oil to condition the bench and it soaked it right up and looks amazing. It fits perfectly in my small bedroom at the foot of my queen bed. It was a teeny bit difficult for me to assemble. Mostly user error. The instructions contain no words. I got the shorter bolts mixed up with the longer ones. Once I figured out my mistake, it was easy to set up the legs on either side. The crossbeams that support shoes were hard to line up with the holes. However, I made it work with a soft mallet.
