Not as tall was what we are used too but it works great. If you have shorter children it would be great for them. Recycle blue bin comes out. Other side is stationary. This little gem went Way Way beyond my expectations! We re-use our grocery bags for noble purposes ... to follow along behind our Rottweiler during her many potty walks. OMG, does that require a lot of bags! We used to have a big canvas shopping bag chock-full of plastic grocery bags hanging near her leash at the front door. What an eyesore - but - I decided to give it one more try to find a dispenser large enough to store enough that I wasn't just constantly having to refill it while still having "the Mother Bag" somewhere hiding the rest. This is it!!! Holds so many that I don't have to even have a back-up somewhere. I bought one of these a year ago and have been so happy with it that I’ve bought ones for every bathroom and for family members as well. The design is better than any other plumber I’ve used before—the end of the handle is rounded so it’s easy to put pressure directly on the end when plunging, rather than having to grasp around the handle with a strong grip. The rubber end has a sleeve that extends below the bell, making it easy to create a seal in the toilet, even if it is a low flow toilet. I especially like the fact that when not in use, the plunger “docks” in the holder with the rubber bell hanging open to the air so it dries out between uses instead of sealing damp in the bell, growing icky new life forms.. I was trying to find a smaller trash can to use next to our kitchen trash can for recycling. This one was narrow enough and not too long. It matches our existing trash can perfectly. I like that it is a slow close lid. My son kept playing with it the first day we started using it. It is working great for getting my family to recycle instead of leaving empty cans, yogurt cups, milk jugs, etc on the kitchen counter (yes, if you break down a 1 gallon milk jug, it will fit inside this trash can, along with other cans, etc). There is an inner insert to lift out. This makes emptying into our larger, outdoor recycle bin easier (which means less of a fight from the kids!)
