I've had my new sewing machine only a week, so I can't really critique long-term performance. It being a Singer though, I expect it to perform well for many years. I can say that I love it! It runs so smoothly and fast, and sews through thick layers of material with no problem! The only minor issue is that I mistakenly thought the machine automatically threaded itself. In reality, it has a gadget which threads the needle. It took me a couple tries to use the gadget quickly to thread the needle faster than I could do it by hand. However, the machine is very easy to thread, so I still give it five stars. Also, Wayfair's price is great......I shopped around before purchasing and could not find a lower price anywhere......even Walmart's price for the same machine is $50 higher! Some websites and my local fabric shop are charging over $200 for this machine. Plus I was very pleased with the free, fast shipping! I will definitely look to Wayfair for future purchases. My sewing machine broke after 32 years. So about 6 months later I bought a cheap one from another site. I really wasn't sure what's out there anymore after being content with my own all these years. Well the one from the other site broke down after 2 months. Couldn't return it so it's in the shop, ALREADY?!!! In my sadness of looking around at my undone projects I decided to buy this Singer from Wayfair. I've never ever had a problem with Singer, well not until the 32 year mark, then it has enough. After deciding this one, I couldn't be more happy. It's even better than my last quick purchase that didn't last long. The great part also is it's so low priced yet quality made. The inside is all metal and trust me that makes a difference. So many things are Not made to last like they used to. This however is such a great machine, ready to go, easy to learn and navigate the digital mechanism. So many things you can still do with this Singer. I hesitated for a couple days. Finally decided to go for it and i am very happy with it. Plus I ordered it one day and it came the very next day. Really?!! How's that possible. Been a Wayfair customer for about 1 month now.
