We recently updated my mother's bedroom, and one of the biggest changes was purchasing this Twin over Full bunk bed that she had been wanting. Overall, we are very pleased with it. The bed is solid and sturdy for the price, and the color looks great in the room. Assembly wasn't particularly difficult, but there are a lot of pieces, so I recommend giving yourself plenty of space to organize everything before you start. We also added a few extra slats for additional mattress support, which worked out well. For the lower full-size bunk, we purchased the 9" Plush Cooling Gel Hybrid Mattress by Zinus, and it's been comfortable for her to sleep on. The assembly went decently well. My DIL put it together with my granddaughter holding pieces once in awhile. Took about 8 hours. Hint: do not tighten down until it is assembled, including the ladder. Update: They still love the bed, and I thought i'd add a picture. The wood is more like a rustic whitewash. It doesn't look as well as the picture and who ever shipped it, left it in the rain. The box was falling apart, and luckily I found it and took every piece in by hand, and dried them off. No damage done, but It was unnecessary to leave it like that in the rain when they could have left it next door at my parent's who have an over covering on their porch. Both DIL and granddaughter got on top bunk. It felt sturdy and didn't move around. We did get a bunky board for top because mattress is foam. The girls love it and are having fun putting their dolls and stuffys around. Very unhappy with delivery. Boxes falling apart. Fed ex stood one up at bottom of deck stairs. We are having g sporadic thunder storms. No plastic was place around packages, so the box fell apart and all the wooden pieces fell and were rained on. I had a mess! I had to remove one piece at a time into home and dry it off. It took a couple people a few hours dealing with two wet opened boxes. The bed was poorly packaged and fed ex left a mess! I'm happy with the bunk bed. But my kids are ecstatic. They were celebrating it for like 30 minutes. And the best part is they sleep better now. Putting it together was as difficult as advertised and due to my fitness level, I was sore for days after. The instructions were thorough, though could have been better as some steps could be merged with later ones to make the construction easier to accomplish. And the slats portion could be improved significantly as some were shorter than others. Those steps also didn't convey that the position of each wasn't fixed. So I had to measure the bed frame and put marks down to ensure I did it evenly. I would have expected markings on the frame to indicate where the slats would go. Seems solid and looks as expected. It was somewhat scratched and marked up out of the box and I don't think it was due to shipping or packaging. It was packaged well and the boxes were not damaged. This bed is so beautifully made! It was defiantly a two person build! Instructions were clear to understand for the most part, the only advice Id give is to number the hardware cause Im not much of a builder an a lot of them looked the same. I really like the features of the bunkbed and the size fits our space perfectly. The shelves are nice and the LED strips are cool for the bottom bunk. However, some flaws - The product is advertised as real wood, but the only real wood is the 4-post frame and bed slats. The sides and shelving are particleboard and thus are cheaper material. - Because it’s not 100 real wood I think it’s overpriced, but in the end would probably buy it again because of the shelving feature and the size fit our space perfectly. - LED strips only extend two sides of the frame and you can only control them with an app on your phone! (No remote!!) - The bottom drawer is very shallow and barely holds anything, maybe a couple of books. It also isn’t on a track so it slides all over the place. We ended up not using it. - The shelves are shallow and hold small fidget toys and water bottles. Excellent quality, super sturdy and very easy to assemble!!! My boys ages 11 and 9 helped me (their mom) build it in just a few hours! It’s sturdy enough that I am able to lay in the top bunk with my 11yr old and it holds up great, my husband is 300lb and lays on the bottom bunk with our 9yr old with no issues! Very solid! And we love the pull out trundle twin size bed for when they have their cousins or friends over! We currently have our nugget play couch on the trundle rather than a mattress, but will be getting a mattress for it. The only complaint I have is that it came with absolutely no extra hardware incase a piece is broken or gets lost during set up, not a single extra bolt, screw or wooden dowel, but otherwise we are very happy with this purchase!!. Really nice bed…very sturdy once it was completed…the instructions could be a little clearer for putting the slats on the trundle and storage rack, but otherwise really easy to set up. My package was delivered outside the building. It should be delivered in front of my apartment door. The building door entrance wasn't locked, it is always unlocked so packages can be delivered inside. More over, while delivering packages outside a building, they can be stolen. To finish with, my apartment is upstairs and I wasn't home when it was delivered so, when I found out the details of the delivery, I have to call a friend to ask for help in order to put my package inside the building and upstairs in front of my door.
