Very nice quality. Very simple to install. I didn’t get self closing version because I don’t like the resistance when pulling open. This also has a little resistance to open and a little resistance at last half inch to close. I assume this is to keep it closed all the way securely. I don’t think this is necessary. You install by pulling closed unit to the front of cabinet flush with outside of frame. Instead, I opened the unit, slowly closed unit till it just touched the resistance spot. I didn’t push firmly to close the last half inch. I then slid the base of unit till the front of wood unit was flush at this spot. and installed 4 base screws. This basically installs the base metal frame about half inch further in the cabinet than the directions. It allows the unit to open with no resistance. And It closes with no resistance perfectly. This makes placing items in the trash so easy. I like that we can leave it open while doing the dishes. We used to have to pull the can in and out from under the cabinet.
