Though this rug comes with latex and cotton backing, we recommend pairing it with a rug pad to keep it in place.

I am very impressed with the quality and appearance of this area rug. As other reviews have stated, I don’t consider the color to be ivory, I would call it more of a beige with gray tones. This color still works well for my purposes. Also, the materials content as stated on the website did not match the product I received. It was described as mostly wool with cotton blend, and the label on the product was a woolcottonsynthetic blend. But still, overall, I am very pleased with this and it is soft underfoot. We have a nice felt rug pad to give it cushion and keep it in place. I see no evidence of shedding as other reviews mentioned.
