This is a fixed-standing seam product that is modular, DIY, and hand-crafted. The framework is made out of a beautiful commercial-grade mill finish aluminum that is powder-coated and will not rust. LOVE. Great quality and they look amazing. I was quoted $6500 from a local awning company for the same "look" and for the same four windows. I paid less than a quarter for the awnings and paid $400 to a handyman who installed them in one day. I get so many compliments on these. The packaging of this patio enclosure was not securely closed and the box itself looked like it had seen better days. The clear tarp works well however the picture is different from what is shown in photos on the website. there were no black dividers along the length of the piece (it is just one solid piece, which is fine with me, it was just different than what was shown. the measurements were also confusing. the length and width measurement seemed to be switched in the purchasing options listed as 8feet wide and anywhere from 8, 16, 20 feet in height... I took a gamble that the measurements where reversed. thankfully I got an 8foot high, and 20 foot long patio enclosure. There was also no pull up cord with this "curtain" as it was shown. The awning is great so far. We have 12*10 size. We added this on our deck on vinyl sliding.. needed to find the stud and used ledger-lock instead of given screws ( as those can only be used in brick).. looks pretty solid, will have to see how it holds in wind.. Reading some of the reviews might not make you want to buy it but….then again some people should not own any tools. The instructions were not terrible, but not updated as far as the canopy installation….but mechanical ability and common sense prevails there. I only had to use instructions for the sequence of assembly, the assembly itself is self explanatory if you open everything and lay it out in front of you. Note to self, the valance is tall, I should have raised my awning for I am covering some of my doors decorative top trim. I should have installed the lights as directed , again back peddling some of the installation process, thinking I could do them last….I installed the awning myself using 2 ladders at 10ft. apart for the 12ft. awning….pulling it up ,alternating side to side.
