I needed lights on my back stairs. They were pitch dark at night. I had a motion detector light at the top of the stairs but it did not light them. These LED step lights do the job. My husband a diy’er installed them. They are AC not ACDC. Do not need a transformer. The picture shows everything he he used except 16 gage electrical wire. Not difficult for an experienced person. The dark area on the stairs has no lights. We will be buying another set unless we can get them individually. He also installed a photocell switch to turn lights on at dusk automatically and off at dawn. Otherwise light will day on until you manually turn them off.. Vanne. Great lights! You can choose warm or bright (I have mine set to warm). They come with mounting accessories and work as described. The 4 pack were enough to light up our deck and we will get 2 more packs to line the full yard. Update downgraded to 3 stars as Summer isnt even over and only one of these works now. I’ve ordered these twice already. I love them. They go through the winter with no problem. I never take them out of the ground. They give a moderate amount of light, enough to be able to see what you’re doing, but not enough to bother the neighbors at night. If you have a light that doesn’t work, remember you have to activate the switch in the back. I even have some in shady areas but they collect enough indirect sun to shine at night. They look great in flower pots and really cool against black mulch and ground cover plants. I don’t care for the lights on a post.
