This bed is very solid and well-made. It took about 2.5 hours to put together and requires two people, one to hold the frame in place and one person to screw in the screws. Definitely recommend an electric screwdriver! I bought a 12-inch queen Casper mattress to go onto the platform and it fits perfectly! Very easy to put together, looks pretty much as pictured, seems pretty sturdy. The color is a little more red than pictured, I think. It also has some discoloration in the headboard and on the base, but not a huge deal for me. The legs are painted gold at the bottom, instead of them being metal, also no big deal.
