This bed took 6 or 7 days to come in, when it was delivered some pieces of the cardboard were broken, but it didn’t really change anything. There are a few scratches on the bed, honestly I can’t do anything about it so it’s useless worrying about it.me and my sisters built this bed in the span of 10 hours. We were stuck of a few parts which is normal I guess, overall it was simple looking back at it. It’s very sturdy and strong, we got full over fully, only reason why I’m giving it a 4 out of 5 stars is simply because of the delivery and a few scratches on the bed, that’s only fair. We got this bunk bed with storage for our kids, and it has been a total game changer for their room. The built-in drawers hold way more than I expected — clothes, pajamas, extra sheets, and even some toys — which helped keep everything organized without needing another dresser. The bed feels sturdy and safe. The guardrails on the top bunk are solid, and the ladderstairs are stable enough that I don’t worry about them climbing up and down. Once it was fully assembled, there was no wobbling or squeaking. Assembly did take a few hours, so definitely set aside time and have another adult help. This is very sturdy and well-built. It took my husband about 3 hours to assemble it himself (he is very into this kind of thing so it might take others a little longer). I only had to help lift the top bunk onto the pegs, but otherwise it was a solo job. There's plenty of room on the bottom bunk for my kid to sit up and when my other kid wiggles up top, it's not super squeaky or wobbly for the bottom kid. Great piece. Safe for a 12 and 9 year olds weight. Sturdy and easy to clean. I got the one with the book shelf and it had lots of storage for books and other toys. I ordered these bunk beds in July when they product was in stock after eyeing for a while. I ordered the product and it was expected to be delivered in 2 weeks. When the product is suppose to ship I get another email it’s now on “back order” and won’t ship for another 3 weeks. So frustrating but waited it out. It then took another 2-3 weeks after it shipped to actually receive it! Was NOT happy about waiting that long. The bunks came in 8 boxes, I was overwhelmed for sure. My husband and I unpackaged all the boxes and hauled everything piece by piece as we needed it. It only took myself (20 weeks pregnant) and my husband 2 hours to put together !!! unfortunately, when putting together there was 2 damaged pieces of wood. When we got to the step portion all the hardware was labeled wrong taking much longer to figure out which hardware we needed to use. After all said and done we are happy with the product. I am really really impressed with this bunk bed. I read TONS of reviews and scoured the Internet and really glad I decided to buy this. I have a picky husband who despises poor quality (more than most people) so I knew he’d be reviewing each and every piece with a critical eye. Even he is a big fan of these beds!!! Very well made, all the holes lined up, not a scratch to be seen. My girls LOVE it and were so happy. We went with a 9 inch mattress on top. This isn’t the cheapest bunk bed on the market...but it’s worth every penny. It’s a very safe and well made construction. FYI...this shipped in 10+ boxes...large boxes. My husband put together by himself. He changed up the directions and put together the bottom first, then the frame of the top, and then the top slats, just FYI. I only helped carry the boxes upstairs. And we opened all the boxes first and got all the hardware pieces and directions together before starting. Overall I really like this bunk bed. Color is a bright white. Some of the pieces appeared less painted, as in I could see the wood grain behind the paint as the piece could have used another coat, but once the bed was together this was completely unnoticeable. Some pieces also came a tiny bit damaged but they were all hidden once together. I thought I was going to have to add slats or a bunkie board because of the distance between the slats but because of how they are attached and the material that runs down them to attach them this was not necessary at all. I have 6 in memory foam mattresses on mine that work out really nice. The bottom bunker might bunk their head- but this is true for any bottom bunker on a bunk bed. We love this bunk bed. It's made of a sturdy wood. It was not that bad to assemble. I took off 1 star because it was almost impossible to remove the drawers from the frame in order to screw the pieces down and together. we had to force the drawers out and it cracked the wood. Luckily, the crack doesn't show from view but we had to glue the wood to keep it together. otherwise we love this bed! wayfair customer service was great handling this issue. but contacting the actual company was unsuccessful. We been using this bunk bed for some weeks now in my kids room and overall i feel good about it. The wood feel strong and not cheap, which i worry before honestly. It come with slats so no box spring needed, that was nice and save extra hassle. Assembly take time, not hard but many parts so patience needed, my husband help me and still took afternoon. The drawers under bed are very useful, we put toys and some clothes there, room look more clean now. Ladder feel secure and guardrails are high enough, my son move a lot when sleep so this make me calm. There is slide too, kids love it a lot, they play every morning like small park. Mattress need be around 6 inch, we use that and fit fine. Later we like that it can split into two beds if kids grow. Only small thing, instructions little confusing but doable. Overall good choice.. I bought this in 2020 for my sisters or guests to sleep over once or twice a month. First, everything came and nothing was broken, the items were heavy. Secondly, unless you are very adept at building or putting together furniture, I would recommend hiring a handyman to build this for you. I looked at all the pieces, and hired someone to build this and they used a drill to assist, and it still took the 1 individual a little over 6 hours. However, the bed was sturdy after he finished. I've had tweens use the bed- both about 100 lbs each, and I've had adults use the bunk beds weighing about 150 each. The pull out drawers fit my extra bed sheets, arts, and crafts. The black non slip on the stairs of the bed are starting to fade, but that black strip can be easily replaced if needed. Overall, I am very happy with this bed. I’ve owned this full-on-full bunk for years (maybe 5) and it’s shared by my kids, now 5 and 8. 5 just got his own bed so now 8 is going to convert this to a loft bed by removing the bottom bunk. This thing is a beast, it takes up lots of room but it worked so well for us. I liked stairs instead of a ladder for the occasional times I had to crawl into the top bed (to get a toy or help make the bed, etc.) I had a handyman assemble it so I can’t speak to that but he said it was no problem. We moved (photo in review is from listing of our house) and it came apartwent back together (by movers) just fine. The bed is cute though very large. I’ve ended up sleeping on bottom when kids have nightmares or sick, and it’s really solid and can hold adult weight just fine. (Ok I’ve even slept on this top bed a few times!)
