I was taken aback once the set was delivered. The set color was a tweed and taupe color. Shocking! The color that I anticipated was an all cream with grey and gold pillows. Simple right? Not! Totally different color than what I expected. I bought a rug (grey & gold) and curtains way ahead of time just to be ready for set's arrival. Wrong! Unsettling, nothing matched! The set quality was good! I talked w/Liz thinking I could get at least a free rug since I paid $600 for mine. There was nothing that could be done. The color of the set was a taupe color. However, once I changed a few pillows, I pulled it all together. The set looks nice in my family room. Delivery was well timed and flawless. I will continue to purchase from Wayfair! I absolutely love this bedroom set! It’s sturdy, solid (yes, pine…I know, lol!) wood and there is no noise when hubby and I toss and turn or get upin bed! We did add extra slats because we used a 14.5” mattress with no box spring. I think there were only 5 or 7 slats and we added a few more along with the extra center supports. I was able to assemble quite a bit of the bed myself until I got to the headboard and slats. One slat had two pilot holes vs one center hole to attach a center support so hubby took care of that. (I wanted to make sure that I didn’t crack it by adding a hole.) I ordered this as a 4-pc set consisting of (king) bed, two nightstands and a dresser, which saved a few hundred bucks vs ordering a la carte. You might be able to find it as “Montauk 3 bed” or something similar as the 4-pc is no longer showing. The dresser and nightstands are sturdy and the drawers glide perfectly. A word on ordering Driftwood color it is more yellow-orange as many reviewers mentioned. Although I was hoping for it to be more brown, it’s growing on my hubby and I, plus I thought the gray might be too much with my flooring as I wanted to keep the furniture lighter in color. This was for our lakehouse and I didn’t want white since that will be our daughter’s furniture color and our walls are BM White Dove.
