Easy to construct! I am 66 years old and have muscle issues. It took me 1 12 hours to put this together, but I’m glad I did. There are numbers and letters to help you line up the pre-drilled hardware holes. It even comes with a small ratchet tool! The small pegs help you line up the sides and headboard, so one person could put it together. It is sturdy, lightweight, and beautiful. Awaiting a mattress delivery and it will be complete. I got this bed for my son. It’s solid wood and firm! My only suggestion is the supporting frame beneath the bed. It could have been designed better. Also, the slants were a bit frustrating because you have to space them out individually then nail them down. Also, I would have preferred woden-like stickers to cover the screw holes. The knobs that came for the holes do not properly fit. This bed took 3-4 hours to put together. It’s a bit tedious but I do love the look of it once put together. Very nice bed frame! It was difficult to find a bed frame with a taller headboard and this was one of the tallest I could find without spending 600. It seems sturdy and does not squeak. It is just 1-2 inches more narrow than our new mattress but this doesn’t bother me.
