This would be a beautiful piece if not for the fact that there were issues with the way it was packaged. The legs, packed in a box inside of the cabinet, became lodged in the top drawer, wedged so tightly in such a manner that it could not be shaken loose and the drawer could not be opened. The method of packaging the cabinet should be changed. The drawer was jammed shut with dislodged styrofoam and the box of legs were jammed tightly above the frame of the drawer. It was impossible to open it without some damage to the drawer occurring. Besides the above unfortunate occurrence, there was also a bit of damage that the cabinet came with, including a scratch on the top and a ding in the wood on the side. Damage to the front edges of the drawers occurred from trying to wedge the top drawer open far enough (millimeter by millimeter) in order to gouge the block of styrofoam out, bit by bit, so the legs would be free to drop down far enough that the drawer would open. It would have been a beautiful cabinet had not these problems occurred. The drawers are well-made. The top drawer is lined on the bottom. I am disappointed because of the unfortunate packaging and the damage. Advice for the furniture company I have had this happen once before with another company. Never pack anything into a top drawer! If you must pack it in a drawer, put it in the bottom drawer (if there is an open space between the drawers) so the top drawer can be removed and the contents in the bottom drawer revealed and adjusted so it can be opened.. Disappointing . Purchased two One leg screw was stripped so unable to securely attach . Both had chips making the finish uneven . The chemical smell is powerful so you may consider airing them out before use in a room . Wayfair customer service is great but I can not recommend this item. Madelaine. This bed is beautiful. The scale of the bed is very nice. I am using a thick mattress with standard size box springs and there is still plenty of headboard space for pillows.
