Gourmet Settings' handmade flatware sets appeal to all the senses. Heat-forged from 18/10 stainless steel, the flatware boasts an 8mm cylinder handle that is exceptionally strong, yet perfectly balanced in the hand. With a stunning polished steel top and matte black handle, the flatware, like its geographic namesake, invokes a raw connection between earth and water. Classical flatware design and modern dishwasher-safe construction make this flatware the perfect juxtaposition of meticulous craftsmanship and everyday convenience.

I ordered 2 sets of the 20-piece set. Each set is a service for 4 and during the holidays I need at least a service for 8. The set is just fabulous for my rustic setting. I have both Bear & Moose dinnerware and this silverware compliments it perfectly. The stem part reminds me of a wood twig. It is dark brown in color with a slight hint of black. It is not perfectly applied and has a distressed look to it. The butter knife has more of a wiggle or twist to the handle because of the length, that adds more character to the entire set. The set is heavy and on the larger size. I have a picture with my everyday silverware and you can see that each piece is slightly larger. I don’t us the tablespoon in my regular set and certainly won’t in this set, my mouth is not that big!!! To me they are weighted just right and fit pretty good in my hand. My husband was excited when he saw the size of the tablespoon…he does have a large mouth! I usually wash my silverware by hand so I do not foresee a rusting problem that others have had. It does state clearly in the description NOT TO USE LEMON and that would include dish soap. I am extremely pleased with this set, both in looks and weight. . Bonnie. . 2020-05-14 09:39:14

Well, I wasn't as happy with this set as I thought I would be. We've had it for a little while now. We were looking for a set that my husband approved of. He wanted something that fit his hand better and felt sturdy. Well, I can say we got that. They are STURDY. The hulk himself couldn't bend these suckers. My husband really loves the way they feel in his hands. The large fork and spoon are that... LARGE. When I use the large spoon I almost feel like I'm eating with the serving spoon from my old set. Its big. They do feel nice in the hand, tho. Have to say. Now, the small fork and spoon are almost too small. Its like they skipped a size in between. When you put them side by side its like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Devito standing next to each other. Its a bit extreme. The shine was very nice, however, they do spot. They have even gotten these rust like spots on them already that even a rinse-aid seems to have trouble with. I have to polish them by hand a bit to get them to look nice. After all the shopping we did for silverware I wish I had searched a little bit more and NOT purchased this set. If I had known there was going to be such extremes in the sizing I would not have purchased!!! My husband is happier with the set than I am. He does think the sizing difference is funny. And the spotting issue frustrates him a little. But overall, its a good set for men with larger hands. As long as they don't need to use the little fork LOL (I have attached pics of the spoons for size referencing. As you can see the little spoon is the same size as a small, plastic spoon. Same for the fork. The knives show the spotting issue). Sabrina. Broken Arrow, OK. 2020-06-06 20:19:40
