I received this order in a timely manner but the ends on most of the rails were chipped and scratched I had to cut them to use them and I wasn’t happy about wasting it but I messaged the seller and I will receive replacement parts so I am happy about that other than that it’s very good looking. The handrail is made from 2" deep x 1" high radiused aluminum extrusion tubing to allow for easy day-to-day use. When mounted to the wall, the railing projects out approximately 3 5/8 inches from the wall to the front of the railing. This railing has a high weight limit that meets the load requirement of 200 lbs or more. The distance from the wall to the back of the railing, when installed, is over 1.5". The railing returns to the wall on both ends of the railing. We used the chair rail as a trim around our gas fireplace. We didn’t have a wide area this was the perfect size.
