This Prep Table is amazing! Not only is it functional, but it's a beautiful piece of furniture!!! I have always wanted a butcher block table and when it came on sale, I decided to purchase it. Mainly because I knew John Boos' tables are the very best, rarely do they come on sale, and after waiting this long, I wouldn't settle for less. My kitchen is actually small, and therefore my countertop limited. I was hoping the table would not only serve as a butcher block but as an extra workspace. And it does!!! It's perfect... I use it when taking dishes out of my dishwasher, when taking pans out of the oven, when making pie dough, etc. It's added much more functionality and convenience to my kitchen. Please note: It is important and necessary to oil the block every couple of weeks or so depending on the weather. This is an item that can be passed down for generations with fond memories :).
