I have been looking for just the right pieces to enhance the area over my mantel and these fit the bill. Installation entails using two screws to apply a plate which the lights fit over. It took around four hours to charge them initially; I can't speak to how well they hold a charge as we didn't really purchase them for extra light. Charging is as easy as charging your phone and they come with two charge cords. They do have dimmers and a remote. I love the idea that these sconces are not hardwired. I live in a rental unit and I have curtains between the upstairs and the downstairs and that little light looks so charming and I don’t have to turn on the big White. Excellent. Drill two holes, insert wall anchor and attach the small plate and screws that came with it. The light slides onto the provided plate. I love that it’s ez to assemble, there are 3 light tones: yellow (warm light), yellow/white (in between warm and cool tone), and blue/white light. Also, you can adjust the intensity from a low level for mood lighting, to a bright level. You can also adjust the angle of the arms that have the shining light. These are sleek looking except the round base is a bit big. See photos that are taken in the day but I have honeycomb blinds and translucent white drapes, so the room is dim but not dark.
